You have been working hard and making progress, and then it appears to come to a halt. One week, no change in weight. Two weeks, no change. Three weeks. What is going on? It’s the DREADED PLATEAU. I have seen too many people give up here, but the truth is you are still making progress: getting healthier, leaner, stronger.
This is why having measures of success other than your scale is so important. Instead, notice how your clothing fits, your measurements, your improvements in strength and endurance.
Now, if you are like me, you will also add more veggies, amp up your workouts, and add more sleep into your routine to recharge and keep moving forward.
Just know that a weight loss plateau is normal. Expect it, and be prepared to move through it rather than throwing in the towel.
