There are many named diets on the market these days: Keto, Intermittent Fasting, Low Carb, and on. These diets may serve to kick start your work or address a specific problem you are having, but the bottom line comes back to the balance of energy (food) you consume and the energy you expend. If you use more energy than you consume, you lose weight. Being aware of this balance is a great first step in moving forward, and there are many apps available to help you do this.
Of course, there are other factors that impact your body's use of energy: sleep, stress, diet history, exercise, just to name a few. I will share more on these in the future.
