Tug of War

You’ve made the commitment to your health. You have the tools to get there, but here you are fighting to make it happen. You have your workout gear in your bag, then the phone rings and your child needs to be picked up from daycare. You are almost out the door to go for a run, and maintenance comes to fix your leak. You are headed to the gym on the way home from work, and your spouse calls to have you pick up dinner.

Wouldn’t it be great if you could take a month or two and get away from everything to focus only on what you need to do to be healthy? We all would, but life does not generally give us that opportunity. So what CAN you do?

Let’s take a look. What does your day look like, your week, your month? Take some time to make a list of all the things you do (Column A). Then go back through them. For each task, write down if it gives you energy or drains your energy (Column B). Finally, take a look at all of the items that drain your energy and determine if you can delegate those items to someone else (Column C). By delegating items that drain you, you not only preserve your energy, you also free up time. Be creative with delegating. You are worth it!!

There is only one you, and you are worth taking care of. Contact me to schedule time to discuss your goals, your needs and how I can help you get there. robin@x4mationfitness.com
